What it means
A simple test before you speak: is it true, is it kind, is it helpful, and will it hurt needlessly? Words that pass all four build trust. Watching our words is real discipline. How it helps in real life
- In love & marriage: About to say something cutting during a fight with your husband? Ask: is it true, kind and helpful? If not, stay quiet.
- At work: Giving feedback to a struggling teammate? Be honest about the problem, kind in tone, and end with one helpful next step.
