Bhagavad Gita · Daivasura Sampad Vibhaga Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 16.6 meaning
dvau bhootasargau lokesmin daiva asura eva cha
daivo vistarashah prokta asuram partha me shrinu
In this world there are two kinds of beings: the divine and the demonic. I have described the divine in detail; now, Arjuna, hear from me about the demonic.
What it means
Krishna now turns to describe the darker side of human nature in detail. Knowing what pulls us down is as useful as knowing what lifts us up, so we can recognise it in ourselves.
Spoken by Krishna.
