Bhagavad Gita 16.2 meaning

ahinsa satyam akrodhas tyagah shantir apaishunam daya bhooteshv-aloluptvam mardavam hreer achapalam

non-violence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, letting go, calmness, not speaking ill of others, kindness to all beings, freedom from greed, gentleness, a sense of shame at wrongdoing and steadiness,

What it means
Many of these are about how we treat others: no gossip, no cruelty, no greed. Small daily habits like holding back a harsh word or a rumour slowly build a calm, trustworthy character.

Spoken by Krishna.
