lelihyase grasamanah samantal lokan samagran vadanair jvaladbhih
tejobhir apoorya jagat samagram bhasas tav-ograh pratapanti vishno
लेलिह्यसे ग्रसमानः समन्ताल्लोकान्समग्रान्वदनैर्ज्वलद्भिः।
तेजोभिरापूर्य जगत्समग्रं भासस्तवोग्राः प्रतपन्ति विष्णो॥
Swallowing all the worlds from every side with your flaming mouths, you lick your lips. Vishnu, your fierce rays fill the whole universe with light and scorch it.
What it means
Time consumes everything, from every side. This fierce image is honest about how life works: all forms are eventually taken back. Accepting this can make us gentler with what we have now.हिंदी में अर्थ
हे विष्णु! आप अपने जलते मुखों से सब ओर से सारे लोकों को निगलते हुए होंठ चाट रहे हैं। आपकी उग्र किरणें पूरे जगत को तेज से भरकर तपा रही हैं।
काल हर ओर से सब कुछ निगल लेता है। यह उग्र चित्र जीवन का सच बताता है: हर रूप एक दिन लौटा लिया जाता है। यह समझ हमें वर्तमान के प्रति कोमल बनाती है।
