Bhagavad Gita 11.12 meaning
divi sooryasahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthita
yadi bhah sadrishee sa syad bhasas tasya mahatmanah
If a thousand suns were to rise in the sky all at once, their light might perhaps match the brilliance of that great being.
What it means
Words fail, so Sanjaya reaches for the biggest image he can: a thousand suns at once. Some experiences of awe can only be hinted at. It is fine to stand speechless before something vast. How it helps in real life
- Phone & habits: Watching the Ganga aarti in Rishikesh, you reach for your camera. Record ten seconds, then put it away and simply stand there in awe.
- With family: Holding your newborn niece for the first time, you can't find words. Don't force a caption; just stay with the moment.
Spoken by Sanjaya.
