Ashtavakra Gita · Chapter 3
Ashtavakra Gita 3.13 meaning
svabhavad eva janano drishyam etan na kinchana
idam grahyam idam tyajyam sa kim pashyati dheeradheeh
A person of steady mind naturally knows that all this visible world is nothing lasting. Why would he keep sorting things into 'this I must grab' and 'this I must throw away'?
What it means
Constantly judging what to cling to and what to push away is exhausting. When you see that everything passes, you can respond to life simply and practically, without the endless inner bargaining.
Spoken by Ashtavakra.
