Ashtavakra Gita 20.13 meaning
kv-opadeshah kva va shastram kva shishyah kva cha va guruh
kva ch-asti purushartho va nirupadheh shivasya me
Where is instruction, where is scripture, where is disciple and where is teacher? Where even is a goal of life, for me who am free of limits and pure goodness itself?
What it means
A good teacher's final gift is making themselves unnecessary. When the lesson is truly absorbed, student and teacher, rules and goals, all dissolve into simple, peaceful being.
Spoken by Janaka.
