Ashtavakra Gita · Chapter 20
Ashtavakra Gita 20.1 meaning
kva bhootani kva deho va kv-endriyani kva va manah
kva shoonyam kva cha nairashyam matsvaroope niranjane
Where are the elements, where is the body, where are the senses, where is the mind? Where is emptiness and where is despair, in my own nature, which is spotless?
What it means
Body, mind and senses are what you use, not the whole of what you are. Even emptiness and hopelessness are passing states. Underneath them, something remains clean and untouched.
Spoken by Janaka.
