Ashtavakra Gita 2.24 meaning
mayy-anantamahambhodhau chittavate prashamyati
abhagyaj jeevavanijo jagatpoto vinashvarah
In me, the endless ocean, when the wind of the mind dies down, the ship of the world, carrying the individual as a trader, unluckily sinks and is gone.
What it means
When the mind goes still, the busy trading of wants and fears stops. From the ego's view that feels like a loss; from a deeper view it is relief. Stillness is not emptiness but rest.
Spoken by Janaka.
