Ashtavakra Gita 2.2 meaning
yatha prakashayamy-eko deham enam tatha jagat
ato mama jagat sarvam athava na cha kinchana
यथा प्रकाशयाम्येको देहमेनं तथा जगत्।
अतो मम जगत्सर्वमथवा न च किञ्चन॥
Just as I alone light up this body, I also light up the world. So either the whole world is mine, or nothing at all is mine.
What it means
The same awareness that knows your body also knows the world. Once you see this, the line between 'mine' and 'not mine' blurs. That loosens possessiveness and lets you enjoy things without clutching them.हिंदी में अर्थ
जैसे मैं अकेला इस शरीर को प्रकाशित करता हूँ, वैसे ही संसार को भी। इसलिए या तो सारा संसार मेरा है, या फिर कुछ भी मेरा नहीं।
जो चेतना शरीर को जानती है, वही दुनिया को भी जानती है। यह दिखते ही 'मेरा' और 'पराया' की रेखा धुंधली हो जाती है। तब चीज़ों को जकड़े बिना उनका आनंद ले पाते हैं।
