Ashtavakra Gita 19.3 meaning
kva bhootam kva bhavishyad va vartamanam api kva va
kva deshah kva cha va nityam svamahimni sthitasya me
क्व भूतं क्व भविष्यद्वा वर्तमानमपि क्व वा।
क्व देशः क्व च वा नित्यं स्वमहिम्नि स्थितस्य मे॥
Where is the past, where is the future, and where even is the present? Where is space, and where is eternity, for me who rests in my own glory?
What it means
Regret pulls us to the past and anxiety drags us to the future. There is an awareness that is not caught in time at all. Touching it, even briefly, is deeply restful.हिंदी में अर्थ
कहाँ भूत, कहाँ भविष्य, और कहाँ वर्तमान भी? कहाँ स्थान, और कहाँ नित्यता, मेरे लिए जो अपनी महिमा में स्थित हूँ?
पछतावा हमें अतीत में और चिंता भविष्य में खींचती है। एक चेतना ऐसी है जो समय में फँसी ही नहीं। उसे पल भर छू लेना भी गहरा आराम देता है।
