Ashtavakra Gita 18.38 meaning
niradhara grahavyagra moodhah sansaraposhakah
etasyanarthamoolasya moolachchedah krito budhaih
Without a real foundation and anxious to grab hold of things, the confused keep feeding the cycle of worldly life. The wise have cut the very root of this source of suffering.
What it means
Grasping is the engine of much of our misery. We chase one thing, then another, and the cycle continues. Seeing this clearly cuts the root, instead of just trimming leaves.
Spoken by Ashtavakra.
