Ashtavakra Gita 1.8 meaning
aham kart-ety-ahammanamahakrishnahidanshitah
naham kart-eti vishvas-amritam peetva sukhee bhava
अहं कर्तेत्यहंमानमहाकृष्णाहिदंशितः।
नाहं कर्तेति विश्वासामृतं पीत्वा सुखी भव॥
You have been bitten by the great black snake of ego, the belief 'I am the doer.' Drink the nectar of the faith 'I am not the doer' and be happy.

'मैं करने वाला हूँ' इस अहंकार रूपी बड़े काले साँप ने तुम्हें डस लिया है। 'मैं करने वाला नहीं हूँ' इस विश्वास का अमृत पियो और सुखी रहो।
यह मानना कि सब कुछ तुम पर टिका है, भारी दबाव, घमंड और डर पैदा करता है। अपना काम पूरे मन से करो, फिर सब कुछ नियंत्रित करने का बोझ छोड़ दो।
