Ashtavakra Gita 1.11 meaning

mukt-abhimanee mukto hi baddho baddh-abhimany-api kinvadant-eeha saty-eyam ya matih sa gatir bhavet

One who considers himself free is free, and one who considers himself bound stays bound. The popular saying is true: as you think, so you become.

What it means
Your beliefs about yourself quietly shape your whole life. If you keep telling yourself you are stuck, you act stuck. Start seeing yourself as capable and free, and your choices begin to change.

Spoken by Ashtavakra.
