Yoga Sutras 3.53 meaning
jati-lakshana-deshair anyat-anavachchedat tulyayos tatah pratipattih
जातिलक्षणदेशैरन्यतानवच्छेदात्तुल्ययोस्ततः प्रतिपत्तिः॥
From this comes the ability to tell apart two things that look identical, even when kind, feature and place give no way to distinguish them.
