Yoga Sutras 3.37 meaning
te samadhav upasarga vyutthane siddhayah
ते समाधावुपसर्गा व्युत्थाने सिद्धयः॥
These powers are obstacles to samādhi, though they seem like achievements to the outward-turned mind.
What it means
Be careful of side-rewards. Praise, special abilities or early success can distract you from the real goal. What looks like an achievement can quietly become a trap if it feeds the ego.हिंदी में अर्थ
ये शक्तियाँ समाधि में बाधा हैं, यद्यपि बाहर की ओर मुड़े मन को सिद्धियाँ लगती हैं।
बीच के इनामों से सावधान रहें। तारीफ़, ख़ास क्षमताएँ या जल्दी मिली सफलता असली लक्ष्य से भटका सकती है। अहंकार को पोषित करे तो उपलब्धि भी जाल बन जाती है।
