tan manahshodhanam karyam prayatnena mumukshuna
vishuddhe sati ch-aitasmin muktih karaphalayate
तन्मनःशोधनं कार्यं प्रयत्नेन मुमुक्षुणा ।
विशुद्धे सति चैतस्मिन्मुक्तिः करफलायते ॥
So the seeker of freedom should carefully purify the mind. When it is purified, liberation becomes as easy to grasp as a fruit in one's palm.

इसलिए मुमुक्षु को प्रयत्नपूर्वक मन की शुद्धि करनी चाहिए। मन शुद्ध हो जाए, तो मुक्ति हथेली पर रखे फल जैसी सुलभ हो जाती है।
ज़्यादातर काम मन की सफ़ाई का है, नाराज़गी, लालच, बेचैनी। यह हो जाए, तो शांति दूर नहीं, आपकी हथेली में है।
