Valmiki Ramayana 6.32.13 meaning

jayaty-atibalo ramo lakshmanash cha mahabalah raja jayati sugreevo raghaven-abhipalitah

Victory to Rama of mighty strength, and to the powerful Lakshmana! Victory to King Sugriva, who is protected by Rama!

What it means
This was the battle cry of the monkey army as they reached Lanka. A shared cry of faith lifts a whole group's courage. Saying 'Jai Shri Ram' still carries that same spirit today.
