आलस्यात्सुसहायोऽपि न गच्छत्युदयं जनः ।
हस्ताग्रास्फालितो भूमौ तोयार्द्र इव कन्दुकः ॥
Because of laziness, a person fails to rise even with good helpers, like a waterlogged ball that will not bounce no matter how hard the hand strikes it to the ground.
