vidy-aturanam na sukham na nidra kshudh-aturanam na vapur na tejah
अर्थातुराणां न सुहृन्न बन्धुः कामातुराणां न भयं न लज्जा ।
विद्यातुराणां न सुखं न निद्रा क्षुधातुराणां न वपुर्न तेजः ॥
Those desperate for money have no friends or family; those driven by craving have no fear or shame; those hungry for learning have no rest or sleep; those starving have no strength or glow.
