gatir ekaiva vittasya danam anya vipattayah
आयासशतलब्धस्य प्राणेभ्योऽपि गरीयसः ।
गतिरेकैव वित्तस्य दानमन्या विपत्तयः ॥
Wealth earned through hundreds of hardships, dearer than life itself, has only one good path — giving. Every other path leads to trouble.
