sthitir uchchaih payodanam payodheenam adhah sthitih
गौरवं प्राप्यते दानान्न तु वित्तस्य सञ्चयात् ।
स्थितिरुच्चैः पयोदानां पयोधीनामधः स्थितिः ॥
Honour comes from giving, not from piling up wealth. The clouds that give water stay high above; the oceans that only collect stay low.
