Daily Prayers & Stotras Viṣṇu Dhyāna meaning
I bow to Vishnu—peaceful in form, resting on the serpent, lotus-navelled, lord of the gods, support of the universe, vast as the sky, dark as a rain cloud, graceful in body; beloved of Lakshmi, lotus-eyed, reached by yogis in meditation, remover of the fear of worldly life, the one Lord of all worlds.
How it helps in real life
- When you are worried: Turbulence on your flight back from Delhi and your heart is racing. Close your eyes, picture Vishnu resting calmly, and breathe slowly.
- With family: Your father is in surgery and you're waiting outside the operation theatre. Recite Shantakaram softly and stay steady for your family.
