I bow to Shiva, white as camphor, compassion in bodily form, the essence of the world, wearing the king of serpents as a garland—who always lives in the lotus of the heart, together with Bhavani.
What it means
Sung at the end of aartis in countless homes. Shiva and Parvati together, living in your own heart, means the divine isn't far away—it's as near as your own heartbeat. How it helps in real life
- When you feel alone: After a breakup, your flat feels empty. During the evening aarti, remember Shiva and Parvati live in your heart; you're not alone.
- In love & marriage: Fought with your partner just before the family aarti? Sing Karpura Gauram side by side, then talk gently afterwards.
