Though all praise Vaikuntha, my heavenly abode, as the Vedas and Puranas say and the whole world knows — even that is not as dear to me as Ayodhya. Only a rare few understand this.
What it means
Returning home, Rama says even heaven can't match the place he was born. Home holds a love no luxury can replace. Wherever life takes you, honour the place and people that shaped you.How it helps in real life
- When you feel alone: Homesick in a London winter? Cook your mother's dal tonight, video call her, and ask her to walk you through it.
- As a parent: Raising kids in New Jersey who've never seen your hometown? Plan one trip back, and show them your old school and street.
