kam krodh mad lobh sab nath narak ke panth
sab parihari raghubeerahi bhajahu bhajahin jehi sant
काम क्रोध मद लोभ सब नाथ नरक के पंथ।
सब परिहरि रघुबीरहि भजहु भजहिं जेहि संत।।
Lord, lust, anger, pride and greed are all roads to hell. Give them all up and worship Rama, whom the saints worship.

हे नाथ, काम, क्रोध, मद और लोभ — ये सब नरक के रास्ते हैं। इन सबको छोड़कर रघुवीर का भजन कीजिए, जिनका भजन संत करते हैं।
विभीषण अपने भाई रावण को चेताते हैं। बेकाबू इच्छा, गुस्सा, घमंड और लालच इंसान को बर्बाद कर देते हैं। इन्हें छोड़ना कठिन है, पर अच्छे जीवन की शुरुआत यहीं से होती है।
