कहत सप्रेम नाइ महि माथा। भरत प्रनाम करत रघुनाथा॥
उठे रामु सुनि पेम अधीरा। कहुँ पट कहुँ निषंग धनु तीरा॥
Bowing his head to the ground with love, Bharata cried, 'O Lord, Bharata bows to you!' Hearing it, Rama sprang up, overwhelmed with love, his clothes, quiver, bow and arrows falling everywhere.

प्रेम से धरती पर माथा टेककर भरत ने कहा, 'हे रघुनाथ, भरत प्रणाम करता है।' यह सुनते ही प्रेम से अधीर होकर राम उठ खड़े हुए; कहीं वस्त्र गिरा, कहीं तरकश, कहीं धनुष और कहीं बाण।
भाई की आवाज़ सुनते ही राम सब भूलकर दौड़ पड़ते हैं। सच्चा प्रेम सँवरकर दिखने का इंतज़ार नहीं करता; अपनों को दिखने दो कि वे कितने ज़रूरी हैं।
