Rahim ke Dohe Doha 60 meaning
rahiman neer pakhan, boodai pai seejhai naheen
taise moorakh jnan, boojhai pai soojhai naheen
Rahim says: a stone may sink in water but never softens. In the same way, a fool may hear knowledge, but it never truly sinks in.
What it means
Hearing is not learning. You can sit through lessons for years and stay unchanged if your mind is closed. Stay soft and open, so wisdom actually soaks in and changes you.How it helps in real life
- At work: You've attended every leadership workshop but changed nothing. After the next one, pick one idea and practise it daily for a week.
- As a parent: Lecturing your teenager for an hour isn't sinking in. Ask her one question and listen for ten minutes instead.
Spoken by Rahim.
