Mahabharata 5.37.15 meaning

yo hi dharmam vyapashritya hitva bhartuh priyapriye apriyany-aha pathyani tena raja sahayavan

The one who stands by what is right, setting aside what the master likes or dislikes, and tells him unwelcome but beneficial things — that is the person who makes a king truly supported.

What it means
Every leader needs at least one honest voice who isn't afraid to disagree. Yes-men feel good but lead you off cliffs. Keep people around who put the truth above your mood.

Spoken by Vidura.
