Katha Upanishad 2.2.5 meaning
na pranena n-apanena martyo jeevati kashchana
itarena tu jeevanti yasminn etav upashritau
न प्राणेन नापानेन मर्त्यो जीवति कश्चन।
इतरेण तु जीवन्ति यस्मिन्नेतावुपाश्रितौ॥
No mortal lives by the in-breath or the out-breath alone. People live by something else, on which both breaths depend.
