Kabir ke Dohe Doha 66 meaning
ae hain so jaenge, raja rank phakeer
ek sinhasan chadhi chale, ek bandhe jat janjeer
Whoever has come will go, whether king, pauper or hermit. One leaves seated on a throne, another leaves bound in chains.
What it means
Death comes to everyone, but how you leave depends on how you lived. A life of good deeds lets you go with honour; a life of wrongdoing leaves you bound by regret. How it helps in real life
- In grief: At your grandfather's funeral, notice what people remember: his kindness. Ask yourself what you'll be remembered for.
- With money: Tempted to cut corners on a deal for quick money? Ask whether you want to leave this world with honour or with regret.
