Kabir ke Dohe Doha 148 meaning
ye to ghar hai prem ka, khala ka ghar nahin
sees utare bhuin dhare, tab baithe ghar mahin
This is the house of love, not your aunt's house where you can stroll in. Only one who takes off his head and lays it on the ground may sit inside.
What it means
Deep love, for God or a person, demands surrender of the ego. It isn't casual. You enter only when you lay down pride and self-importance.How it helps in real life
- In love & marriage: Moving in with your partner? Be ready to drop the 'my way' habits, from the thermostat to the Sunday plans.
- Every day: Before your morning prayer, consciously set aside one bit of pride from yesterday, and only then sit down to pray.
