युद्ध में रावण की ओर से सब पर नागपाश डाल दिया गया। श्रीराम समेत सारी सेना बंधकर मूर्छित हो गई, यह बड़ा भारी संकट था। तब हनुमान जी गरुड़ को ले आए, जिन्होंने बंधन काटकर डर दूर किया। संसार में कौन नहीं जानता कि आपका नाम संकटमोचन है?

हनुमान ने खुद बंधन नहीं काटे; वे उसे ले आए जो काट सकता था। सही व्यक्ति को बुलाना भी एक हुनर है; मदद माँगना समझदारी है, कमज़ोरी नहीं।
