Chanakya Niti 9.1 meaning
muktim ichchasi chet tata vishayan vishavat tyaja
kshamarjava-dayashaucham satyam peeyooshavat piba
मुक्तिमिच्छसि चेत्तात विषयान्विषवत्त्यज।
क्षमार्जवदयाशौचं सत्यं पीयूषवत्पिब॥
My friend, if you want to be free, avoid sense-cravings as you would avoid poison. Drink in forgiveness, honesty, kindness, purity and truth as if they were nectar.
What it means
Freedom is less about escaping the world and more about what you feed yourself daily. Cut back on the cravings that slowly poison you, and soak up the qualities that heal you and the people around you.हिंदी में अर्थ
मित्र, अगर तुम मुक्ति चाहते हो तो इंद्रियों के भोगों को ज़हर समझकर छोड़ दो। क्षमा, सरलता, दया, पवित्रता और सच्चाई को अमृत की तरह पियो।
आज़ादी इस बात से आती है कि हम रोज़ खुद को क्या देते हैं। जो लालसाएँ धीरे-धीरे नुकसान करती हैं उन्हें घटाओ, और जो गुण मन को ठीक करते हैं उन्हें अपनाओ।
