Chanakya Niti 8.16 meaning
nirgunasya hatam roopam duhsheelasya hatam kulam
asiddhasya hata vidya hy-abhogena hatam dhanam
निर्गुणस्य हतं रूपं दुःशीलस्य हतं कुलम् ।
असिद्धस्य हता विद्या ह्यभोगेन हतं धनम् ॥
Beauty without good qualities is wasted, a family name without good character is ruined, learning that never bears fruit is lost, and wealth that is never enjoyed is wasted.

गुणहीन का रूप बेकार है, दुराचारी का कुल नष्ट है, जो विद्या सिद्ध न हो वह व्यर्थ है और जिस धन का उपयोग न हो वह भी व्यर्थ है।
क्षमता तब तक बेकार है जब तक काम न आए। रूप, खानदान या डिग्री पर मत इतराओ, और पैसे को बस जमा मत करो। जो है, उसे असली मूल्य में बदलो।
