Bhakti Saints Doha 9 meaning
mera bairee main muva, mujhe na marai koee
main hee mujhakaun marata, main marajeeva hoee
My enemy, the ego 'I', has died; now no one can kill me. It was only my own 'I' that was killing me; now I am dead to it and truly alive.
What it means
Much of our suffering comes from our own ego: hurt pride, comparison, needing to win. When that loosens its grip, others' words lose their power to wound. Freedom starts there. How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: A cousin mocks your salary at a family dinner and your ego flares. Smile, let it pass, and notice how little power his words have.
- When you succeed: Your friend gets promoted before you and you can't stop comparing. Congratulate him sincerely tonight; the comparison hurts only you.
