Within every caste there are more castes, like layers of leaves in a banana stem. Raidas says: people cannot truly unite until this idea of caste is gone.

जातियों के भीतर भी जातियाँ हैं, जैसे केले के तने में परत-दर-परत पत्ते। रैदास कहते हैं, जब तक जाति नहीं जाएगी, मनुष्य आपस में जुड़ नहीं सकते।
लोगों को ऊँच-नीच में बाँटने से सब बँटे रहते हैं, और यह बँटवारा कभी ख़त्म नहीं होता। रैदास ने सबको बस इंसान मानने की बात कही।
