Bhaja Govindam 28 meaning

sukhatah kriyate ram-abhogah pashchad dhanta shareere rogah yady api loke maranam sharanam tad api na munchati pap-acharanam

People chase physical pleasures for the fun of it, and afterwards, alas, the body falls ill. Even though death is the final end for everyone in this world, still people do not give up harmful ways.

What it means
Overindulgence feels good now and costs us later, often in our health. We all know life is limited, yet we keep repeating what harms us. Awareness of consequences is the first step towards change.

Spoken by Adi Shankaracharya.
