Srimad Bhagavatam 8.19.25 meaning
punsoyam sansriter hetur asantoshorthakamayoh
yadrichchay-opapannena santosho muktaye smritah
Discontent with wealth and pleasure is what keeps a person bound in the cycle of worldly life. Being content with what comes naturally is said to lead to freedom.
What it means
The restless feeling of 'not enough' is the engine of much suffering. Practising contentment does not stop ambition; it stops ambition from owning you. Enough is a powerful word.
Spoken by Vamana.
