Srimad Bhagavatam 10.25.18 meaning
tasman machcharanam goshtham mannatham matparigraham
gopaye svatmayogena soyam me vrata ahitah
तस्मान्मच्छरणं गोष्ठं मन्नाथं मत्परिग्रहम्।
गोपाये स्वात्मयोगेन सोऽयं मे व्रत आहितः॥
So I will protect this cowherd village with my own power, for it has taken refuge in me, I am its master, and it is my family. This is the vow I have taken.

इसलिए मैं अपनी योगशक्ति से इस गोकुल की रक्षा करूँगा, क्योंकि यह मेरी शरण में है, मैं इसका स्वामी हूँ और यह मेरा परिवार है। यही मेरा व्रत है।
जब इंद्र का तूफ़ान व्रज पर टूटता है, कृष्ण अपने आश्रितों की ज़िम्मेदारी लेते हैं। सच्चा नेतृत्व मुश्किल वक़्त में अपने लोगों की रक्षा करना है, सिर्फ़ उनका भरोसा पाना नहीं।
