api chet suduracharo bhajate mam ananyabhak
sadhur eva sa mantavyah samyag vyavasito hi sah
Even if someone whose conduct is very bad worships me with undivided devotion, they should be regarded as good, for they have made the right decision.
What it means
Your past doesn't define your future. What matters is the direction you choose now. A sincere decision to change deserves respect—in yourself and in others. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: You hid from your parents that you dropped out of college. Tell them the truth this weekend and show them your new plan.
- With friends: A friend who once cheated you says he has changed and quit gambling. Give him a fair chance, slowly, without dragging up the past.
Spoken by Krishna.
