Bhagavad Gita 8.28 meaning
vedeshu yajneshu tapahsu ch-aiva daneshu yat punyaphalam pradishtam
atyeti tat sarvam idam viditva yogee param sthanam upaiti ch-adyam
Whatever merit is promised from studying the Vedas, from sacrifices, austerities, and charity, the yogi who knows this goes beyond it all and reaches the supreme, original abode.
What it means
Rituals and good deeds have value, but understanding the deeper truth goes further. What matters most is not how many boxes we tick, but how fully we grasp and live what is real.
Spoken by Krishna.
