Bhagavad Gita 7.27 meaning
ichchadvesha-samutthena dvandvamohena bharata
sarvabhootani sammoham sarge yanti parantapa
Arjuna, from birth all beings fall into confusion, deluded by the pairs of opposites that arise from liking and disliking.
What it means
Much of our confusion comes from constantly sorting the world into what we like and what we hate. Loosening that grip brings a clarity that strong preferences tend to hide. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Rejecting a job offer just because you dislike the city? Write down facts, not feelings, about both options before deciding.
- With friends: Avoiding a colleague only because they support a rival IPL team? Drop the label, invite them for lunch, and find common ground.
Spoken by Krishna.
