Bhagavad Gita 3.40 meaning
indriyani mano buddhir asyadhishthanam uchyate
etair vimohayaty-esha jnanam avritya dehinam
The senses, the mind and the intellect are said to be its hiding places. Through them it clouds wisdom and confuses the embodied soul.
What it means
Desire works through what you see, what you dwell on, and even how you justify things. Knowing where it hides helps you catch it early, before it takes the wheel. How it helps in real life
- With money: Justifying another gadget as 'for work'? Catch the excuse, wait 72 hours, and buy only if you'd defend it to your accountant.
- Health & body: Walking past the bakery every evening and caving? Change your route home this week so the craving doesn't start at your eyes.
Spoken by Krishna.
