Bhagavad Gita 3.16 meaning
evam pravartitam chakram nanuvartayateeha yah
aghayur indriyaramo mogham partha sa jeevati
Partha, whoever does not help keep this cycle turning, and lives only for the pleasure of the senses, lives a wasted and harmful life.
What it means
A life spent only chasing pleasure, without contributing anything, ends up feeling empty. Meaning comes from playing your part in the bigger cycle—at home, at work, in society. How it helps in real life
- Helping others: Your weekends are only Netflix and brunch? Give one Saturday a month to teaching kids at a local NGO.
- With family: Living with parents but never helping at home? Take charge of one chore this week, like groceries or bills, and own it.
Spoken by Krishna.
