yam imam pushpitam vacham pravadanty-avipashchitah
vedavadaratah partha nanyad asteeti vadinah
Partha, people without real understanding speak flowery words. They delight in the letter of the Vedas and claim there is nothing more than this.
What it means
Krishna warns against attractive words that promise rewards but miss the deeper point. Beautiful, confident language about quick success is not the same as real wisdom, so look past the packaging. How it helps in real life
- With money: A finfluencer promises guaranteed 30% returns with slick words. Before investing a rupee, check registration and ask a trusted advisor.
- At work: A consultant's deck is full of buzzwords but no real plan. Ask them to explain it in three simple steps before signing.
Spoken by Krishna.
