Bhagavad Gita 18.61 meaning
eeshvarah sarvabhootanam hriddesherjuna tishthati
bhramayan sarvabhootani yantraroodhani mayaya
The Lord lives in the heart of every being, Arjuna, moving all beings by his power as if they were mounted on a machine.
What it means
The divine is not far away; it lives in every heart. Remembering this makes us gentler with others and less lonely, because no one is ever completely on their own.How it helps in real life
- When you feel alone: Spending your birthday alone in a hostel in Germany? Remember the same Lord lives in your heart; call home and treat yourself kindly.
- Helping others: The neighbour you dislike just lost his job. Remember the divine moves in him too; drop off some food and a kind word.
Spoken by Krishna.
