brahmanakshatriyavisham shoodranam cha parantapa
karmani pravibhaktani svabhavaprabhavair gunaih
The duties of Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras, Arjuna, are divided according to the qualities arising from each one's own nature.
What it means
In context, Krishna links work to inner nature and qualities, not to rank. The lasting idea is that each of us has a natural temperament, and life works best when our work fits who we are.How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Your family wants you in the family business, but you're a natural teacher. Notice your temperament honestly and choose work that fits it.
- As a parent: Pushing your artistic daughter into medicine because cousins did it? Watch what she naturally loves, and support that path.
Spoken by Krishna.
