Bhagavad Gita · Moksa Sannyasa Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 18.39 meaning
yad agre chanubandhe cha sukham mohanam atmanah
nidralasyapramadottham tat tamasam udahritam
That which deludes the self from beginning to end, arising from sleep, laziness and carelessness, is called tamasic happiness.
What it means
Some comfort is just numbness: oversleeping, zoning out, avoiding everything. It never feels truly good and never leads anywhere. Gently waking up from it is a gift to yourself. How it helps in real life
- Every day: Sleeping till noon every Sunday and still feeling dull? Set a gentle 8 am alarm and step out for sunlight and chai.
- When you feel alone: Since moving abroad, you avoid calls and hide under the blanket all weekend. Today, take one small step outside and greet a neighbour.
Spoken by Krishna.
