yaya dharmam adharmam cha karyam chakaryam eva cha
ayathavat prajanati buddhih sa partha rajasee
The understanding that mixes up right and wrong, and what should and should not be done, that, Arjuna, is rajasic.
What it means
A mind full of wants gets foggy about right and wrong. When we badly want something, we often bend our judgment to fit. Slowing down restores clear sight. How it helps in real life
- In love & marriage: Desperate to get back with your ex, you're excusing everything they did. Wait a month before reaching out, and talk to a friend honestly.
- With money: Really want that dream bike, so the EMI suddenly looks fine? Do the maths on paper tomorrow, when the excitement has cooled.
